Landscape Installer - Beloit, WI

Terra Yard Creations is looking to hire for multiple positions within our company for the 2019 season. We are a family owned & operated, award-winning hardscape installation company seeking individuals who not only enjoy but prefer working outdoors in this industry. There are also opportunities for advancement within the company for qualified individuals. At this point our #1 priority is to hire skilled landscape installers.

 

This position may require the employee to perform all, but not limited to, the tasks listed below:

  • Assist in daily preparation of trucks and equipment

  • Load gas cans and other equipment. Secure all equipment

  • Load and secure all materials required for the day.

  • Assist crew leader in any preparation required for the day.

  • Perform landscape installation and maintenance tasks on customers property

  • Provide labor associated with the preparation, excavation, and installation of paver patios, walkways, retaining walls, water gardens, and landscape lighting.

  • Installation of sediment control fabrics.

  • Assist crew leader with all tasks associated with landscape installation or grounds maintenance.

  • End of the day/week equipment maintenance

  • Unload equipment, clean out truck/trailer by removing trash, debris, etc. daily.

  • Assist crew leader in preparation for the next day.

  • Wash and prep equipment as directed by crew leader.

Performance skills and qualifications:

  • Ability to lift 60 lbs. plus consistently

  • Use hand tools and small equipment effectively.

  • Available to work a varied schedule (including Saturdays) in sometimes adverse weather conditions.

  • Stoop, stand and bend for 10 hours or more a day.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Preferred Experience:

  • Paver patio and retaining wall installation – 2+ successful years preferred (1 successful year minimum required)

  • Low Voltage lighting

  • Plant, sod and general plant knowledge

  • Water feature installation.

Retail Store Associate - Elkhorn, WI

We are seeking candidates to fill in house positions for our Front Counter Associate. Candidates must be professional and courteous in assisting customers with orders while having a passion for service and people. This position is responsible for working with store manager to maintain and organize store displays, setup of merchandise throughout the seasons while provide exceptional customer service to build and maintain contractor and residential customer relationships. Duties include but are not limited to answering phone calls taking and entering POS sales orders, store organization and cleanliness, grounds maintenance and upkeep, lend support to fellow staff in the daily operation for the company. Terra Yard Creations offers flexible schedules both full-time and part-time.
